Allegro Barbaro - Concerto for Accordion, Piano and Orchestra by Bashkim Shehu Charlene Farrugia (Piano) Franko Bozac (Božac) (Accordion) Ender Sakpinar (Conductor) Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra Smetana Hall, Prague Franko Božac is one of the international artists of the non-profit global organization for music, culture and cultural diplomacy (EMMA for Peace), under the patronage of UNESCO and with Riccardo Muti, the celebrated Italian conductor, as honorary president. Franko is included in the famous Hübners encyclopedia "Who is Who" 2012, which contains a list of significant people from the fields of economics, politics, science, culture, art and sports. In 2017, at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Academy's special prize committee awarded him the honour of an Associate Member of the Royal Academy of London (ARAM). In 2014 he recorded the concerto for accordion and string ensemble by Charles Camilleri for the famous label NAXOS Classical Records. As a soloist he has performed with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, the London Royal Academy Orchestra, the Malta Philharmonic, the Kaliningrad Philharmonic, the Österreichische Symphoniker, the State Symphony Orchestra of Austria, the Winter Green Orchestra, the Croatian Chamber Orchestra, the Oregon Music Festival Orchestra, the Portland Civic Orchestra, the Lynch Philharmonic, and as a member of London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble 10/10, Estonian Sinfonietta the Manchester University Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of HRT. His performances were broadcast in many world-famous media such as BBC Radio 3, BBC Scotland, RAI 3, ORF radio OEI, LRT (Lithuanian national radio), Radio Beograd 3 and others. He has played in many prestigious halls: Smetana Hall in Prague, Oriental Arts Center in Shanghai, Queen Elisabeth Hall in London etc. He has featured with eminent artists such as JC Domenec (Protégé of the legendary Sir Colin Davis), G. Benjamin (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), G. Carpenter (author of The Wicker Man), S. Hauser, D. Ashkenazy, M. Tarbuk, E. Sakpinar etc. He studied in Croatia and in the UK at the Royal Academy of London. Currently he teaches at the Academy of Music in Pula.
